A family run Chalet In French

‘Chalets in Samoens’ was started in 2008 by Caroline and Robert Thompson when they built the beautiful Chalet which encompasses ‘Chalet Brio’, ‘La Terrasse’ and ‘Petit Brio’. In 2015 their son Joss and his now wife Denee were married in the gardens of the chalet and just 5 years later sold their house in Surrey, UK. They left their jobs as a Physiotherapist and Mechanical Engineer and bought the business from Caroline and Robert who, although claimed they wanted a slower pace of life, are now running the sister chalet ‘Chalet Bravo’ located just next door.

The whole family love the outdoors and life in the mountains, from skiing and snowboarding in the winter to hiking, biking and climbing in the summer. They are also dedicated ‘foodies’ (and winies) and a highlight of the calendar is getting together with friends to test out menus and wine parings for the year.

Running Chalets in Samoens is really a dream come true for us. To be able to have a career which involves all your passions and being able to share that with guests is an amazing privilege.
