Travel options:

Many people choose to drive here and a having a car means you can make the most of all the options such as the free days skiing in the nearby Portes du Soleil, which is included in the price of a six day ski pass. The journey by car is straightforward from the channel ports, about 8 hours if you drive fast, or 9-10 if you take your time and stop more often.  Many people choose to stop overnight en route, favourite places include the Burgundy and Beaujolais regions, and historic towns such as Rheims, Chalons or

Fly drive:
Another option is to fly. Flights into Geneva are frequent and can be excellent value. At the airport you can pick up a car; try rhinocarhire,from there it’s an easy drive to reach us and will take about an hour. Car hire is usually very reasonable. It’s best to collect your car from the Swiss side where there is easy access onto the autoroute, the cars are winterised and you don’t have to pay for the motorway vignette (35€) which is required as soon as you cross the border.

An increasingly popular method of travel is to take Eurostar over to Paris, Gare du Nord, then an easy change to the Gare du Lyon where the TGV will bring you to Cluses, in just over four hours.  Fifteen minutes away from Samoens we can either collect you or arrange a transfer. Alternatively take the TGV to Geneva.

Geneva airport, just an hour away, has excellent links to many destinations with frequent flights from the UK and elsewhere. Flights can be very reasonable, but be warned, the price often increases significantly at popular times

From Geneva we can advise you on transfers to the resort, as an indication a group of four might expect to pay €75 each for a return journey, however the price does increase the fewer passengers there are.
