In 2007 Caroline and Robert Thompson packed their bags and headed to the French Alps to start a business in the beautiful village of Samoens, set in the Grand Massif. They bought a plot of land and built Chalet Brio and then six years later built Chalet Bravo next door.
After 10 years of loving every minute they welcomed their son Joss and his wife Denée to the team who now run the business.
Joss and Denée love the outdoors. They are both keen snowboarders in the winter and hikers, bikers and climbers in the summer. That is why they love Samoens and the Grand Massif and all it has to offer. Joss is a level 3 snowboard instructor and spent 10 seasons working in the USA and New Zealand. Denée is a Physiotherapist and has spent 5 seasons in France and New Zealand. Prior to living in France they lived in the beautiful village of Holmbury St Mary in Surrey working at McLaren Automotive and Nuffield Health respectively, but in 2016 decided that the time was right to move to France, buy a chalet and live their dream of waking up every morning in the mountains.
‘We are passionate about Samoens and the Grand Massif and are so excited to be able to welcome guests to this beautiful area. It has so much to offer, whether you are just after some quality time with your friends and family or you’re an adrenaline junkie after your next fix we will ensure that your stay at Chalet Brio is one to remember.’
